Documentary Reveals Majority Of People In The World Want To Live In Peace And Harmony [Video]

Various governments and international agencies claim to be working to make life comfortable for people around the world.

Since the creation of the United Nations, world leaders meet annually to discuss the well-being of the citizens of the world. Some critics believe that this annual meeting is not bringing about any change because the priorities of the world have been misplaced by leaders.

In an attempt to show what is really happening on the ground and what citizens of the world really want for themselves, a group of people have taken the trouble to do the little they can to clarify the global picture for us.

One such concerned citizen of the world, is French born Yann Arthus-Bertrand. Mr Arthus is a well-known and incredible photographer, journalist, and reporter. He is also an environmentalist and a humanist.

To help us better understand the people of the world, Arthus has used his talent to put together a documentary film, titled Human, to show us what we do not see.

Collective-Evolution reports that Arthus also directed the stunning documentary, Home (which was watched by a whopping 600 million people around the world.)

Human, Arthus’ latest documentary, is so profound that even the United Nations could not deny it. The film was premiered last year at the General Assembly Meeting in New York City.

As part of the documentary, Arthus and his team of 16 journalists interviewed 2020 people from 60 different countries across the world. They asked each person the same 40 questions, covering many subjects such as family, love, religion, ambition, and failure.

he journalists asked questions such as:

What is the toughest trial you have faced? What did you learn from it?

When was the last time you said ‘I love you’ to your parents? What is love to you?

What are your thoughts on homosexuality, the destruction of the environment and the cost of war?

What was it like growing up in your country?

Why is humanity making the same mistakes?

Some of the answers were so surprising that they even shocked the journalists, taking the conversations to unexpected places.

Some of the people that were interviewed include freedom fighters, death row inmates, farmers in Mali, and war veterans who have seen life in a very different context to the majority of us.

One of the most touching stories in the film, was the story of a man called Leonard. Leonard is serving a jail term in the United States for murdering a woman and her child. Leonard narrated how he was brought up by an abusive father who never showed him love.

He therefore grew up with hate in his heart and ended up committing that crime. However, Leonard said he only discovered what ‘love’ meant after he came across a woman called Agnes. Agnes is the mother and grandmother of the two people Leonard killed.

Leonard said: “By all rights, she should hate me, but instead, she gave me love, and she taught me what it was.”

Many of the other interviewees expressed common concerns. They revealed that they want to live in peace and harmony with each other. They also want their governments to treat them well.

The film also showed some beautiful moving images of the world – including deserts, mountains, and landscapes. It is a must watch film. The film will change the way you look at yourself.
