(Activist Post) Because government is the antithesis to freedom, industrial hemp has been banned nationwide since 1937 ostensibly due to the plant’s similarities to marijuana. Many have speculated that this move was also due to the fact that cannabis is in direct competition with the pharmaceutical industry by providing far safer alternative treatments as well as directly competing with the petrochemical industry. However, all this changed in December 2018 after President Donald Trump signed the Agriculture Improvement act of 2018, legalizing industrial hemp on a national scale.
Despite this move, law enforcement across the country continues to go after entirely legal businesses for selling this THC-free version of the cannabis plant. However, they are quickly being exposed for the tyrants that they are. Even the mainstream media—who have long suppressed and ignored the benefits of the hemp plant—are now forced to cover its benefits. →

(Natural News) Gone are the days when marijuana was viewed as nothing more than a dangerous, illicit drug. More than two thirds of U.S. states have now legalized its use, some for medicinal purposes, some for recreational use, and others for both.
Thanks in large part to information dispensed by the independent media, Americans have become educated about the amazing health benefits of marijuana, including in reducing the number of seizures in patients with epilepsy, preventing age-related cognitive decline, and in providing a safer form of pain relief for patients battling opioid addictions. →

(Natural News) Hundreds of thousands of people living in the United States die every single year from taking pharmaceutical drugs that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved as “safe and effective.” But rather than take a step back and reevaluate its criteria for assessing and approving so-called “medicine,” the FDA has instead decided to target the budding medicinal cannabis industry over alleged “safety concerns.” →

(The Free Thought Project) Marshall County, TN — In millions of instances across the ostensible Land of the Free, people from young to old have their lives turned upside down and ruined after they are caught in possession of a plant. Despite marijuana being legal in a growing number of states, marijuana arrests actually increased in 2018. The low hanging fruit of arresting entirely harmless and innocent marijuana users provides for a constant stream of revenue and justifies the existence of the police state and predatory court system. One woman in Tennessee, however, just showed us all what can happen when you refuse to lay down and let the bureaucratic gear of tyranny grind you to pieces when the government catches you with weed. →

(Natural News) About a hundred years ago, marijuana began to be banned in one state after the other, until finally the Marijuana Tax Act of 1937 effectively banned its use nationwide. As reported by the New York Times, the reasons for this policy were rooted in “racism and xenophobia,” and its “principal effect has been to ruin the lives of generations of people.”

An active compound in marijuana called tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) has been found to promote the removal of toxic clumps of amyloid beta protein in the brain, which are thought to kickstart the progression of Alzheimer’s disease.
The finding supports the results of previous studies that found evidence of the protective effects of cannabinoids, including THC, on patients with neurodegenerative disease.

(Natural News) One of the key goals of Republicans is to limit government, end absurd regulations and set farmers free to generate economic abundance across the nation. In a stunning move led by U.S. Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky), the United States Senate has now passed legislation that ends hemp prohibition and would allow farmers across the nation to cultivate hemp.
“The bill would legalize hemp, removing it from the federal list of controlled substances and allowing it to be sold as an agricultural commodity,” reports The Hill.
This is on top of President Trump’s recent announcement that he would work to end marijuana prohibition at the federal level.
Simultaneously, the FDA has just approved the first cannabis-derived prescription drug, made from purified cannabidiol (CBD). Alongside this approval, federal agencies are reportedly on schedule to remove CBD from Schedule I status at the federal level, allowing the CBD pharmaceutical to be legally sold nationwide. (Yes, isn’t it fascinating how interesting the government legalizes something when there’s Big Pharma money at stake…)
