Video shot this past weekend in Paris France shows thousands of protesters surrounding the headquarters of Pfizer in the nation’s capitol and chanting “assassins!” in protest of vaccine mandates.

Protests have been raging in France for a long time, and have been energised by French President Emmanuel Macron admitting last month that part of his “strategy” on tackling COVID is to “piss off” the unvaccinated as much as possible by limiting their freedoms and coercing them into taking shots.

Särskilt eftersom man dagen innan valt att framställa Macrons tvångspass som en framgång firad av folket på utecaféerna i Paris. Och ännu värre: SvD väljer att ’helt objektivt’ lägga in uppgifter om att vaccinen inte skulle ha medfört mer än försumbara bieffekter – och att man inte heller har minsta anledning att förvänta sig sådana – som ett faktum, trots att detta ju är vad striden i första hand gäller. Så illa står det till.

Tens of thousands of people across several countries, including France, the UK, and Israel, have demonstrated against new anti-COVID restrictions, with the majority of the protests held in the Paris metropolitan area.

According to Reuters, in Paris and other French cities, more than 200,000 protesters flooded streets on Saturday, outraged about COVID-19 health passes. The passports were introduced as Europe is in the midst of the fourth wave of virus infections.

Tens of thousands of people have taken to the streets of French cities for the second weekend in a row to protest against health passes and mandatory vaccination for medics. In Paris, rallies ended up in scuffles with police.

Law enforcement officers in the French capital used tear gas and water cannon to disperse the crowds as the situation on the streets spiraled out of control during the massive demonstrations provoked by the government’s plans to extend health passes for public places and enforce mandatory vaccination for certain jobs, including health workers.

“The health pass will never be a right of access that discriminates among the French. It cannot be made compulsory for access to everyday places,” French President Emmanuel Macron pledged in April during an interview with the regional press. However, less than three months later and Macron has done an about-face.

Last week, in full totalitarian form, Macron mandated the “health pass” or (pass sanitaire) that will be mandatory in order to gain access to leisure and cultural venues with more than 50 people, including cinemas and museums. From the beginning of August, it will be necessary to show your health pass to have coffee or eat lunch at a restaurant – even on an outdoor terrace – or to shop at a mall.

As we reported on Monday, France President Emmanuel Macon announced new COVID measures that included mandatory COVID vaccines for health workers, a “health pass” to access the cinema, trains, restaurants as well as in hospitals, retirement homes, medical and social establishments, but also in planes, trains and buses for long trips, curfews, and even “pension reform” where people will “have to work longer and retire later.”
