(NaturalHealth365) Global soils are the source of all life on land. They produce food, store carbon, and purify water. If topsoil is lost through “bad treatment,” it takes thousands of years until the soil is produced again. Pesticides and chemical poisons qualify as “bad treatment,” and without urgent action to halt the degradation caused by pesticides, pollution, and intensive farming, the future of global soils is bleak.
(NaturalHealth365) Asthma has become one of the biggest health problems for kids and adults. And, although conventional treatment options may provide temporary relief of some symptoms, there is increasing evidence that these asthma medications actually increase the risk of future attacks. Let’s be honest, these drugs never get to the true cause of any respiratory problems.
(NaturalHealth365) According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, global fish consumption jumped 122% from 1990 to 2018. But, the alarming news is: about 50% of the fish eaten worldwide is now farm-raised. And, while fish is viewed as a “healthier alternative” to red meat, lower in saturated fat and an excellent source of protein, omega-3s, vitamin B12, vitamin D, potassium and iron … industrial farmed – or I should say – toxic salmon is no better than junk food.
Chlorpyrifos insecticides were introduced by Dow Chemical in 1965 and have been used widely in agricultural settings. Commonly known as the active ingredient in the brand names Dursban and Lorsban, chlorpyrifos is an organophosphate insecticide, acaricide and miticide used primarily to control foliage and soil-borne insect pests on a variety of food and feed crops. Products come in liquid form as well as granules, powders and water-soluble packets, and may be applied by either ground or aerial equipment.
(NaturalHealth365) Toxic heavy metals – generally defined as a group of dense compounds with adverse health effects – are found virtually everywhere: in food, water, soil and even within the air we breathe. So prevalent are these unwanted substances that researchers tell us that we all carry a certain amount of these metals in our bodies – depending on age, health and exposure. So if you’re dealing with any serious health issue … considering a heavy metal detoxification program may be a wise choice.
For children in the U.S., cancer is the leading cause of death from disease. Worldwide, cancer has become so prevalent and devastating that some may use the phrase “like curing cancer” when describing something unfeasible or highly complicated. Yet in September, a team of more than 60 stakeholders and leaders in the health, science, business, policy and advocacy sectors collaborated to take a different, perhaps less flashy approach — preventing cancer, specifically by ending the use of toxic chemicals. Under the umbrella of the Childhood Cancer Prevention Initiative (CCPI), this collection of organizations published a report examining the impact of different cancer-causing chemicals and calling for a “national plan” to address the rising incidence of childhood cancer.

(NaturalHealth365) The destructive policies of the “modern” food system are vast and varied, leading to a host of societal and planetary ills. Big agriculture and pervasive corporate greed; worker wage depression and unhealthy working conditions; consumer exposure to toxins and antibiotics; chronic disease; animal cruelty; and the mass extinction of biodiversity are just the beginning.
More than 800 million people in the world are hungry, 2 billion people are suffering from micronutrient deficiencies, and 2 billion are overweight or obese. It’s abundantly clear: something has got to give!

(NaturalHealth365)By the end of 2020, there will be 1.8 million new cancer cases expected and over 600,000 cancer deaths, in the United States alone. Yet, even conventionally-trained scientists (and doctors) admit that lifestyle changes can help us to inhibit the growth of cancer cells.
Simply put, there is a lot we can do to avoid cancer! →
(Natural News)Lots of people are waking up to the dangers of conventional produce and sticking to organic varieties, but a recent study serves as a reminder of why it’s also important to go organic when it comes to cow’s milk too.
The study, which was published in the Public Health Nutrition journal, found that a significant amount of the conventional milk sold in the U.S. contains dangerous contaminants. For the study, researchers randomly purchased half-gallon jugs of conventional and organic milk at various retail stores. All told, they studied 35 samples of conventional milk from 18 different brands alongside 34 samples of organic milk from 10 different brands. →
